What makes your book different from others in your genre?

Each Realm is a different world. While the series includes Dream walkers, Wizards and Vampires; most immortals don’t socialize outside of their race. The book touches on a lot of real life scenarios like imperfections, family drama, even equality.

Why should readers buy your book? It has a lot of humor.

Even when things look bleak for the heroine the banter pursues. It’s an interesting tale of a woman with no knowledge of her past trying to find her place in a new world.

What is the one thing you wish you knew about being a writer before you started your book?

The crazy dreams I would have. When you spend five hours a day writing paranormal stories; your dreams tend to pick up where your fingers left off.

Where do you draw your inspiration from to write your books?

I’m not big on outlines, I’ve tried them and they just don’t work for me. I may have one idea in my head but when I start typing it all changes. I like for the characters to speak to me. I may see something on T.V. or in my own life that I think I can build off and make my own but if it doesn’t fit the characters’ personality or current path I scrap it. Ultimately, they decide for me.

What would you like to say to your readers?

I love to know what other readers enjoy. Even if it doesn’t align with my books I like getting in the minds of others. What makes them laugh, cry and just say wow. I began writing because of my own love of books so when I hear readers praising another author it makes me smile; it’s not an easy task to get into the mind and hearts of others.

Nothing can make me cry faster than watching Ellen. Every time she gives away a dream vacation or car I’m in tears.
I named my cat after a main character in my book because they share a love for females.
I do my best writing when my husband and son are playing video games. I chalk it up to them being to engrossed to ask me for things.
I wanted to be a private detective when I was younger.
