Reading from The Third Throne: Angel of Vengeance - Chapter 6
I recently had the opportunity to make my third book, The Third Throne: Angel of Vengeance, come to life by recording a reading from Chapter 6. I recorded the reading for the Brains to Books Cyber Con, but now I'm posting it on my site.
Angel of Vengeance, as you may guess, is about revenge, but it's more about the depths that people will sink to in order to get retribution on someone. This book is about losing yourself to hatred, anger, and resentment, which we can all relate to. Though my books are Urban Fantasy and contain terrifying and dangerous creatures, the motivations of the creatures are very real and easy to relate to.
In this Chapter, our hero or at times, anti-hero, Anjali, has been tasked with finding an escaped soul name Jericho. He is a highly dangerous soul who has been relegated to the Realm of Nightmares, never to see the Mortal Realm again. When he escapes, he somehow raises his former drug gang from the dead. Anjali decides to search for his gang members, hoping that they returned to their hometowns to deal with any unfinished business they may have.
While searching a small town named Paradise, Anjali, disguised as a mortal named Annie, meets Sheriff Grady. Grady seems helpful at first, but Anjali quickly realizes that Grady is hiding a terrible secret. Can a handsome mortal help Anjali capture a dangerous escaped prisoner from Hell, while dealing with Grady and his "boys"?
